We're back for another Brilliant Door County season, and there's much to discover at Brilliant Stranger! It's been a long winter, but sometimes our most creative journeys take place in those cold dark months. We are coming out of hibernation this spring with an all-new line of clothing called ReFab, and it is fabulous!
New lines of clothing and bags handmade by fantastic artists from the US and Canada, and we haven't forgotten our old favorites: we will continue to carry the latest treasures from Yoanna Barashi, Natasha Raj, Luci Daum hats and bags, Oreb Lram handmade jewelry from the North and bS silk-screened shirts from New York.
We've discovered some great new art kits and journals for artists and travelers alike, fun kids projects for the family on the move, and some amazing new selections of new world music! Plus we are putting it all in our completely remodeled store! Come in and check it out!
This spring we were honored to be invited to the Green Bay American Cancer Society fundraiser, where we took place in a fantastic fashion show with a few highlights from our spring line of Refab! It was fun, and a great event. The models all wore Tie Strap dresses, which is my original design of summer dresses made from recycled vintage ties and skirts. It was a hit, and we will be back next year.
At ReFab we are driven by an honest desire to improve the world we live in by creating something of beauty that doesn't, in the process, make the world an uglier place! ReFab does not only decorate your body and your life, it enriches the world with artistry, originality as well as social and environmental responsibility.
ReFab is made from recycled clothing. We shop carefully for vintage and fine secondhand clothing that has been lightly or never worn. Some vintage is sold as is, because we find it perfect in it's original form. Other pieces are altered, embellished, embroidered, painted and printed. Each ReFab piece is unique and made with loving care, and it proudly displays the ReFab logo.
